Our customer in the UAE has a Hotel in Dubai. He need some large movement expansion joint to accommodate 10” of compression, extension and lateral movement. The sizes in the photo below are of the 10”, 12” and 24” in diameter with European standard drilling to PN16 and rated for 180 psi. We supplied anti-squirm guides and compression sleeves to allow for movement but still restrain the expansion joint. Our Engineen Bein the photo is 6’1” so you can see how massive these joints are. The expansion joints were hydro tested @ 270 psi, vacuum tested @15”hg and also tested for movement.
